Zebedee:

Zebedee (front) was built by Peter Beevers and is based on the Tinkerbell class locomotive. She is an 0-4-2 engine and varies from the original with larger bored cylinder (3"), a locomotive boiler (rated to 100psi) a slightly longer chassis (6' 6"), smaller driving wheels (8.5") and with a rear coal bunker rather than coal carried on top of the tank.

Zebedee is one of two tinkerbell engines built together by Peter Beevers, with both engines finished in Ffestioniog railway maroon colours and lining. Zebedee is expected to be based both at the SNBR and the owners home. She has approximately 300lbs of tractive effort (based on the larger cylinder bore and smaller wheels). Zebedee was first steamed in March 2012.

Zebedee and her twin (Zanna) are also the first pair of the herd of tinkerbells under construction by several memebers of the SNBR, although Zanna is not for SNBR use and her new owner intends to base her in the West of England. The remaining 2 of the herd are substantially behind these two and so we expect to wait a fair few years before we have our own "Tinkerbell day".

P Beevers engineering now has 3 engines built and based at the SNBR, and for information in the product range please visit the website P Beevers engineering
