
To raise money for the Everyman Cancer charity, the SNBR held its Second steam engine only day, with all money raised by donations going to the
charity.
The Fleet for the day were:
Suisaidh. 2-4-4T
Sir Goss. Our 2-4-0 tender engine, running for the last time before rebuild and replacement boiler
Owd Rosie. Our 2-6-2T
Medea, 2-6-2T on loan from Moors Valley Railway
Jennifer. 0-4-0 vertical boiler engine visiting from Holycombe Steam centre
The railway officiallt opened its doors at 11.30am, with Sir Goss being flagged away by the mayor, who opened the event, and officially opened our shiny new Platforms.
With all 5 engines able to pull a standard rake of coaches, the opportunity was taken to get out the freight and two of the newly refurbished red coaches.

With a rest bite from the snow, the railway enjoyed a large turn out for an event in the middle of winter with train spotters, enthusiasts, regular visitors and even some people who
were just passing, making the day something to remember.
All 5 engines worked really well, and most trains were full. With 5 engines and 3 sets some double heading to took place, an usual combinaton being Jennifer and Sir Goss.

The event ended at 4pm with a farewell to Sir Goss special, double headed by Sir Goss and Medea.
